Wastewater Discharge Elimination Program (WaDE)

The North Carolina Wastewater Discharge Elimination (WaDE) Program is in the On-site Water Protection Section of DENR's Division of Environmental Health. The WaDE Program was established to identify and eliminate discharges from straight pipes and failing septic systems to land surfaces and streams. The program's staff has worked with health department staffs, non-profit agencies and volunteers to make the program a success.
