Originally enacted in 1937, North Carolina's General Statutes provide for regulation, inspection and licensure of all sleep products either sold or manufactured within the state. Especially important in today's increasingly global market place, the Sleep Products Branch ensures that new products adhere to rigorous sanitary standards and regulates the sanitizing processes for used or second-hand bedding products.
